The role requires a highly motivated individual with the ability to work within a team as well as on their own initiative. The successful candidate is likely to have experience working in a marketing role covering all aspects of the marketing mix. You will need to be able to effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders across the business at all levels. You will have a strong track record in designing and delivering successful campaigns tailored to relevant markets.
The Marketing Manager will work as part of a team across a number of areas. You will lead the successful creation and delivery of innovative digital campaigns and initiatives that help us reach our objectives.
Key responsibilities
The successful candidate must work in concert with other team members to produce executable strategies that are measurable and can demonstrate a return on investment (“ROI”). The successful candidate will assist with developing and refining marketing goals, including annual budgets. Each goal must have specific metrics, referred to as key performance indicators (“KPIs”), which can be measured at weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly intervals.
The following illustrates Wisterm’s areas of importance in respect to the company’s digital marketing strategy.
You will be responsible for each of the areas identified above, including development of associated KPIs, monitoring, and reporting, and working with external agencies to further advance Wisterm’s marketing strategies. You will also have the following responsibilities:
- Lead complex campaigns, working closely with coworkers and external agencies to shape and communicate our value propositions.
- Create and deliver integrated campaigns that help build client relationships, support revenue objectives, and enhance the reputation of the firm.
- Act as a point of contact for external agencies, advising on questions relating to branding, marketing, and communications, including our strategy, processes, and requirements.
- Manage the production and execution of agreed deliverables within timelines and budget; measuring the campaign activities and using insights to enhance and refine activity.
- Work with your direct report to ensure content is relevant, compelling, exceeds quality requirements, and has a clear buyer’s journey.
- Responsible for maintenance of relevant website pages, including informing the business of expiring pages and building business cases for extensions.
- Crafting specific messaging for content promotion.
- Responsible for maintenance of employee bios profiles, including removing those no longer employed by Wisterm, updates to existing profiles, and development of new profiles.
- Build a strong internal and external network; working closely with the business, external agencies, and freelancers to develop and deliver differentiated, brand focused and customer centric content.
- Support others in the business, creating and fostering a positive team environment where everyone is supported to develop and learn.
- Provide direction and assistance to team members with awareness of the company’s brand, marketing, and communication policies, procedures, and workflows.
Position Functions
- Manage social media accounts, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and others.
- Lead search engine optimization (“SEO”), keyword research, and conversion rate optimization.
- Develop and manage pay per click (“PPC”) and paid search advertising campaigns.
- Coordinate content creation and distribution with both internal and external stakeholders, including design, copywriting, and scripting for multiple formats, including blogs, white papers, press releases, email campaigns, interactives, infographics, photography, illustrations, animations, and videos.
- Lead digital public relations, including outreach to bloggers, publications, influencers, and associations for backlinking.
- Maintains records in an orderly and up-to-date manner.
- Maintain a working knowledge of company’s products, services, policies, and processes.
- Function as a resource for operations, sales, service, and other teams in order to develop and implement strategic plans and solutions.
- Attend occasional client meetings pertaining to project deliverables.
- Maintain positive relationships with appropriate stakeholders through regular contact and effective communication.
- Establish and monitor KPIs and periodically report and present finding to stakeholders, including senior management.
- Create and maintain marketing budget.
- Performs other functions as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A high level of technical knowledge, organizational skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills is required. To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 5 years’ experience in marketing programme management in a corporate environment.
- Extensive business experience; or a degree (or equivalent), professional qualification.
- Experience working in a high performing and fast paced team, including those that utilize a matrix organizational structure.
- Project management skills – highly organised with a sound attention to detail and an ability to deliver to deadlines.
- A strong history of strategic campaign management, producing quality, consistent messages, through all channels.
- A solid understanding of campaign principles, coupled with a strong commercial drive and the ability to deliver high-value activities that deliver return on investment, ensuring alignment with the company’s brand.
- An enthusiastic, can-do approach and be a strong collaborator.
- The ability to juggle conflicting demands on time and prioritise
- A desire to embrace and drive change whilst identifying and supporting process improvements and demonstrating best practice.
- Strong interpersonal skills in writing, presenting, and influencing decision making.
- Fluent (oral and written) in English.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Ideally, you will also have:
- Well-articulated interest in the employee benefits and insurance industry and a vision of how you, in this role and future roles, may have a positive impact on the company.
- Experience with marketing-based customer relationship management software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, MailChimp, Constant Contact).
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Microsoft Planner, Microsoft Project, etc.).
- Proficiency with creative software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesgin, Canva, etc.)
- Experience working in a creative agency.
Other Requirements
Candidate must satisfactorily complete pre-hire employment assessments and maintain a satisfactory driving record. Candidate may be asked to submit to a drug and/or alcohol screening. A civil and criminal history background check may be performed at the company’s expense. Attendance is required at regular and/or mandatory company meetings. Employees are encouraged to pursue relevant professional designations; however, this is not required.
